Knits and Knots by Rachel Christine VIP Group Specialty gifts and handmade boutique crochet items. Thirty three years ago I was introduced to the art of crochet. Then Covid came into my world. Too much time.

At the age of 14, my dear Aunt Joan diligently taught me the most basic stitches and encouraged me to challenge myself with each new project I took on. Life however got in the way - school, work and eventually marriage and children. There was never enough time in the day to complete the tasks of working a job, being a mother and keeping a house. There certainly was no time to dedicate to the craft

I loved so much. Suddenly I was home with all the time in the world. I sat and worried. I worried about my children, my husband and my elderly, high-risk mother who resided with us. It was up to me to keep her safe from this hideous virus wreaking havoc on the elderly. I needed an outlet to keep my hands busy and my mind focused. I prayed for peace within my heart and took out my old crochet hook. From there, Knits & Knots by Rachel Christine blossomed. Friends and family began requesting custom created items. Word spread and before long I had a steady stream of business. My mom has since passed and I am so very thankful for the time spent with her during quarantine. She inspired many of my pieces. She IS Rachel Christine. Some may look back on this time and look at it as the most darkest of days. I understand that however, a part of me sees beauty in the time I was forced to slow down, sit with mom, talk about the past and reclaim the craft I love. It was a time of rediscovery for me. A time that I was given the opportunity to establish a business doing what I love. A time that I will be eternally grateful for.
