šŸ’27 Socializing is over.
The overthinking , unfortunately, is still happening in my head. 🧠

Anyone else replay one completely normal sentence like a crime scene.šŸ•µļø

šŸ’25 Task paralysis- that’s the tweet.

I know I need to do it.
I know sitting here thinking about it isn’t making it disappear.
But sitting here suffering before I start is part of the process.

Eventually I’ll start.
Probably.

šŸ’22 Saturday morning… I have the WHOLE day. 😌
Nothing scheduled… finally!
I’ll scroll for a little bit.
Then I’ll clean.
Actually, laundry first.
Wait… did I ever switch the laundry?

And somehow my open Saturday that I was going to take advantage of has completely disappeared.

What happened to the time?!

šŸ’20 Ever since my autism and ADHD diagnosis, it’s felt like my brain has been pulling memories out of storage.

Moments I hadn’t thought about in years suddenly come back, and I catch myself wondering…

Was that autism?

Was that ADHD?

Things I used to explain away as personality, shyness, overthinking, or ā€œjust being meā€ now make me pause and see them through a different lens.

Sometimes it’s validating.

Sometimes it’s heartbreaking.

Sometimes it’s both at the same time.

And if I’m honest… I still don’t always know what I’m feeling.

I’m just replaying my life one memory at a time, trying to understand myself with information I didn’t have before.

šŸ’•ā™¾ļø If you were diagnosed later in life, did you find yourself looking back at your past differently too?

šŸ’ 19 We were having a conversation, and I noticed myself looking away while I was trying to explain something.

I realized it’s easier for me to find the words this way.

Now, every time I catch myself doing it, I wonder how many conversations were misunderstood because my body language didn’t match what I was actually trying to say.

Before my autism diagnosis, I never questioned it. I thought everyone did this.

Looking away isn’t me checking out of the conversation. If anything, it’s the opposite. It helps me organize my thoughts so I can actually say what I’m trying to say.

It’s funny how a diagnosis can make you notice things you’ve been doing your whole life.
