HELLO FACEBOOK! If you know a college student looking for community service hours, send them my way! And Look for our booth with your kiddos for some free fabulous art projects, most Saturday mornings this summer. Way fun!
Capital City Public Market has invited me, LindaBu, elementary arts educator, community arts facilitator and BSU ART ED instructor, back into Saturday Market with BSU ED students to get nose-to-nose with kids, meet our Boise families and earn letters of recommendation for teaching portfolios! I'm jacked about this, and want to get the word out before the end of the semester for a pre-season meeting at my home studio....which is TOMORROW, MAY 20, AT 2PM. THIS MEETING IS NOT REQUIRED, SO IF YOU ARE INTERESTED PLEASE PM me!
Kids' ART at the Market is an opportunity for our preservice teachers to not only earn community service hours for serving the public, but also a chance to research curriculum, implement lessons and lead the booth to tout leadership and organizational skills for their recommendation letters. WE aim for multi-cultural, sustainable projects that are community inspired.
Details about the program:
CCPM (Capital City Public Market) Kids' booth happens BEGINNING IN JUNE, THROUGH END OF AUGUST, every Saturday from 9:45am until 1pm, so it's a fast-morning, fun-filled way to enjoy the Market scene and serve the community. PLUS, attendees will be able to make sample art projects for their curricular resource files for their future classrooms: it's a win win win win win!
