The talented IDI dancers continue to delight audiences throughout the Northwest with their rhythmic high energy performances. IRISH DANCE IDAHO continues its mission to create a stellar Irish Dance performing experience, not only for the IDI dancers, but for the many audiences that follow them. Under the direction of Rebecca Ingram, and Assistants Heidi Grigg and Spencer Ingram, dancers are taught

and drilled on correct, difficult technique required for traditional and Show-style Irish Step in the difficult and beautiful Muenster tradition.

Why is September such a busy month for Irish dancers?

We're not sure either! 😂 But after years of being invited to dance at September events for organizations throughout our community, we're so excited to once again bring you our show: Halfway to Saint Patrick's Day!

This performance is our way of giving back to the community that has welcomed us, invited us to share our dancing, and applauded for us year after year, whether in March or September.💚

Thanks for your support, and we can't wait to share what we've been working on! ☘️

We celebrated their achievements at the studio tonight with a viewing of Luck of the Irish!

Today we had the opportunity to dance at the beautiful Hidden Springs Historical Barn for the Ada Community Library Hidden Springs Branch library!

Fun facts:
• The barn was built around 1865 by Philip Schick.
• It is believed to be the oldest standing barn in Ada County.
• It has been beautifully maintained and lovingly preserved.
• To keep it preserved, we put down our Marley floor to help protect the gorgeous wood floor... and it was still deafening! 😂 What a floor! It might be among our favorites!

It was an honor to share Irish dancing culture and heritage with the library today. Thank you so much for having us. We loved every minute of it! ☘️💚

🇺🇸 America is turning 250 years old!

We were thrilled to receive a message from the Irish Traditional Music Archive announcing the launch of a digital atlas celebrating Irish dance, music, and song traditions across all 50 states.

We're honored to represent Idaho by contributing "Simpler Jig," a tune composed and whistled by our very own Spencer Ingram. It's a unique piece, and we're so proud to share a little of Idaho's Irish dancing tradition as part of this incredible project! ☘️💚
