The I Wonder Workshop Series is for adults who are ready to try something new, not because they have to, but because something inside them is asking, “I Wonder what it would be like?”

If you've ever been curious about photography angles, lighting, compositions, or subjects, then this next workshop is for you. The Center is partnering with the Miami Institute of Photography for a hands-on evening workshop where adults will learn photography fundamentals, step behind and in front of the camera, and leave with a finished portrait. 📸

We still can’t get over the incredible films our youth filmmakers created through the “What Do You See?” Short Film Fellowship 🎬✨

For months, our fellows dedicated themselves to writing, directing, and starring in their own original short films... all inspired by one powerful question: When you think of creativity, what do you see?

What they created was beyond inspiring 🌟 These 5 films are filled with passion, imagination, vulnerability, and bold storytelling. More than just short films, these projects became a launchpad, helping our young creatives spark their passion for the film industry while giving them the tools, confidence, and creative freedom to keep growing for years to come.

The What Do You See Program was not just designed for fellows to create their short films and close that chapter of their lives - it was only the beginning. The program is meant to open doors in the creative world, specifically within the filmmaking industry🎞️​​🌟​

This past week, some of our WDYS Fellows participated in the Youth Filmmaker Summer Bootcamp, hosted by . As one of the prizes of the fellowship program, the fellows took part in this week-long, in-person learning experience. This bootcamp served as an introduction to key concepts and skills that will support their growth in media, storytelling, and creative film production. Thank you 🎉

Today members of our team had the honor of attending the Mayor’s Civic Connections Summit, hosted by Miami-Dade County Mayor, Daniella Levine Cava, at Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus.

It was an inspiring afternoon filled with meaningful conversations, insightful perspectives and a shared commitment to strengthening civic engagement across our communities.

Take us back to the "What Do You See? Short Film Fellowship, where we closed out with a night of lights, cameras, and smiles! Guests gathered at the iconic YoungArts Jewel Box in Downtown Miami for a first-of-its-kind celebration of South Florida’s next generation of filmmakers. Throughout the evening, filmmakers shared the inspiration behind their work and the creative journey that brought their stories to life. The event concluded with a panel of industry professionals selecting the standout film of the night.
