Studio vibes…. This is the little arbor outside my studio. My son built it a couple years ago. Zoom in to see all the grapes. There are four varieties of wine grapes. Just sharing a different kind of art today!

When a community comes together for the love of children….this is what happens. This was my third year contributing to this truly amazing organization. Dove House Children’s Advocacy helps mend the lives of children abused. As I had said in a previous post….every little bit counts. This donated encaustic wax painting was bid on and split (several times). So now I have the privilege of repainting it for a few other bidders….people who are just as passionate about children’s lives as I am. What’s your passion? Never think your contribution may not matter…go make a difference.

A couple little tweaks and this will be ready to deliver. The whites have been tricky to deal with in the last couple months…pollen falls in the wax and the wax turns yellow…or because it’s been so dry dirt can get in it. And yes even a gnat or two… so I am beyond thrilled with the outcome of this piece-the whites are so fresh and brilliant!! Also I worked very early morning because as the weather heats up, the spheres don’t form properly. Much more goes into this process than you see! This piece is so intriguing!!
