A New Chapter
In 2014, I started this art business with a simple goal: to bring paint and sip experiences to rural Texas. At the time, there weren’t many opportunities for people in smaller communities to enjoy that kind of creative night out, and it quickly became something people embraced.
Even then, I never saw paint and sip as the final destination. It was the beginning of something I hoped would continue to evolve.
Fast forward to this year, I set out to reintroduce my art business with a more elevated and intentional approach. I wanted every event to feel thoughtful, immersive, and beautifully curated. As I moved through the planning process, I realized that the demands of marketing and coordinating live events were pulling my attention away from what mattered most to me. More importantly, the experience wasn’t aligning with the standard I had envisioned from the beginning.
That realization led me back to the studio.
Over the next six months, I’ll be stepping away from live events to focus on creating original collections with greater intention. I’ll be exploring mixed media, incorporating vintage textiles, jewelry, and found objects, while developing educational products and creative resources that can be enjoyed long after a single event has ended.
As this next chapter begins, you’ll also notice a new name. The Arden Studio reflects the direction I’ve wanted to take for a long time. It’s a space dedicated to intentional artwork, thoughtfully curated collections, and creative education that extends beyond a single evening or event.
I’ve learned that sometimes the clearest path forward isn’t doing more. It’s creating with greater intention.
Whether you’ve been here since those first paint and sip events in Texas or you’ve found this page more recently, thank you for following along. If this next chapter resonates with you, I hope you’ll stay. I’m excited to share the work that comes from slowing down, creating with intention, and building something meant to last. 💕
