Detroit Ice Theatre started with a small group of skaters, coached by Richard Brown, in the Winter of 2023 and a nugget of an idea: to enter a Preliminary team into Theatre on Ice Nationals held in Fraser, MI in June 2023… it’s where it all began…

Thank you for supporting the Detroit Ice Theatre program through our Mum Fundraiser! We are delighted to announce that close to $1,900 was raised and will do directly to the theatre on ice program!

Detroit Ice Theatre is hosting a second open house/audition!! We will have the following teams: Aspire/“mini” team (in-house team for ages 4-10 with Basic 4 learn to skate and up) that will practice at 12:45pm on Sat, a Preliminary team (National-bound team for ages 11 and under) and an Intermediate team (National-bound, 15 and under) or higher and possibly an Open team (to be determined). Detroit Ice Theatre program is selling Mums! Orders are due by 9/7. Pick up will be at Detroit Skating Club on 9/23. Plants are $15 each and various shades are available!

Highlights of Detroit Skating Club skaters at the 2025 National Showcase competition. DSC skaters put on a SHOW!! Ten of these skaters were from the our Theatre on Ice program! All of these skaters worked so hard to qualify for this National competition and we are proud of them!! Thank you Ice House Skating Academy for such a great event!

Some of us had the chance to watch Koko at National Showcase! Wow!!!!

Koko Hirano captured her second consecutive title in the senior Parade of Champions at 2025 National Showcase last week in Rochester, Michigan.
