On Saturday I went to a different sort of quilt program than I’m used to. The Hastings Museum presented 14 of their antique quilts, and what made it unusual was the focus on the makers and their history, especially any connections they had to the area. The research had turned up interesting tidbits of all sorts, often documented in newspapers. I wasn’t seated to get great photos but there was a nice crowd and I know the museum was pleased with the showing. A lovely way to spend an afternoon!

I am with the most incredible group this week! Mid Valley Quilt Guild meets in Salem, OR. This dynamite strawberry quilt is from show and tell, made by Kathy C. What a fun scrappy make! Another trunk show this evening and StarQuar Scrap Quilts workshop tomorrow. Another delight every time I turn around!

Let's hang out! Sunday June 7, 1 Central on Zoom. Tickets are $5. Come with your scrappy quilt to share, questions, ideas and encouragement for others. It will be recorded and you may attend live or watch afterwards. We are going to have an enjoyable time! I hope to see you there.
