Released on this day in 1998, ‘Jesus Hits Like the Atom Bomb’ is the third studio album by Tripping Daisy. The last album to be released during guitarist Wes Berggren’s lifetime, it features the singles “Waited a Light Year” and “Sonic Bloom” and is widely considered the band’s best, and a precursor to Tim DeLaughter’s next project, The Polyphonic Spree.

Released on this day in 1995, ‘I Am an Elastic Firecracker’ is the second studio album by Dallas’ own Tripping Daisy. Featuring classics like “I Got a Girl”, “PirANhA”, and “Trip Along,” all which received airplay on KDGE and video support from MTV.
