Please join us in welcoming new Company Dancer Gabriel Roush to Alabama Ballet for the 2026–27 season!

Originally from Norwood, North Carolina, Gabriel trained at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts before dancing with Charlotte Ballet and BalletMet. His repertoire spans both classical and contemporary works, including pieces by George Balanchine, Trey McIntyre, and Juanjo Arqués. In addition to ballet, Gabriel brings a strong background in tap dance that continues to shape his musicality and artistry as a performer.

Gabriel shares that he is excited to begin this next chapter with Alabama Ballet, and we are thrilled to welcome him to Birmingham!

Please join us in welcoming new Company Dancer Stirling Kolb to Alabama Ballet for the 2026–27 season!

Stirling began his training at Pofahl Studios and has performed with Dance Alive National Ballet and the Sarasota Ballet Margaret Barbieri Conservatory. His repertoire includes featured roles in Sleeping Beauty, Coppélia, Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, and contemporary works by Tales Ribeiro and Judy Skinner.

Stirling shares that he is excited for his first season with Alabama Ballet and to be a part of the company’s mission. We are thrilled to welcome him to Birmingham!

We are excited to announce the promotion of Mollie Swindell to Company Dancer for Alabama Ballet’s 2026–2027 Season! ✨

Originally from Decatur, Alabama, Mollie began her ballet training at Huntsville Ballet School before continuing her studies with Texas Ballet Theater’s Professional Training Division and Studio Company. She joined Alabama Ballet as an apprentice for the 2025–2026 Season.

This past season, Mollie brought warmth, versatility, and artistry to the stage in featured roles including Harlequin Doll in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker®, the “Ain’t No Sunshine” solo in Christopher Stuart’s Mixtape, Fairy of Generosity in Sleeping Beauty, and Russian Corps in George Balanchine’s Serenade, among many others.

Mollie’s passion for performance and dedication to her craft have made her a wonderful part of the Alabama Ballet family, and we cannot wait to see her continue to grow on our stage. Congratulations, Mollie! 🩰

Please join us in congratulating Carrington Moser on her promotion from Apprentice to Company Dancer for Alabama Ballet’s 2026–2027 Season! ✨

Carrington trained at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Orlando Molina Ballet Training Center, Ballet Conservatory of Atlanta, and the European School of Ballet. Throughout her training and professional career, she has performed a wide range of classical and contemporary repertoire and worked with acclaimed choreographers across the industry.

During her first season with Alabama Ballet, Carrington performed notable roles including Harlequin Doll in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® and Fairy of Song in Sleeping Beauty, among many others.

We are thrilled to celebrate Carrington’s continued growth and artistry and look forward to all she will bring to the stage in the upcoming season. Congratulations, Carrington! 🩰

And just like that, our 25–26 season comes to a close. ✨

This past weekend, we wrapped Unbound with George Balanchine’s Serenade and Paul Vasterling’s Carmina Burana — a powerful ending to a season filled with artistry, passion, and unforgettable moments.

To our patrons: thank you for showing up, supporting live performance, and making this work possible. Your generosity, enthusiasm, and belief in what we do sustain our artists and our mission every single season. We are endlessly grateful.

To our dancers, production staff, crew, vocal soloists, orchestra members, chorus members, and guest conductor Ming Luke, Conductor— thank you for the immense talent, dedication, and heart you brought to the stage and behind the scenes. It takes an extraordinary community to create work of this scale, and we are so proud of what was accomplished together.

Thank you to our Rehearsal Directors , Balanchine Repetiteur , and choreographer for their incredible work with our dancers on this production.

Thank you for being part of our season. We can’t wait to welcome you back for what’s next. 🖤
