Less Than Perfect: Not Polished, Not Sorry

Introducing the new branding for Less Than Perfect, a local band in the north Georgia area that blends the world of soft rock with their southern roots. You can catch them at several local spots around town, and they’re always adding new shows and venues to their schedule.

We wanted their brand to match their sound - think imperfect edges, a rustic feel, and vintage-inspired colors for the ideal laid back vibe. It’s all about embracing imperfection — just like their music. Presented by Gibson Review, Less Than Perfect is unpolished and unapologetically real.

It’s so hard to believe that it’s been almost seven years since beginning this journey. I began really focusing on my art during high school, but took a significant break after graduation and into college. I started painting and drawing again as a coping mechanism as my health significantly declined with what would be eventually be diagnosed as Crohn’s Disease. It was during this time that I created Dot JPG Designs and completed my first commissions for family members and close friends.

So much has changed in those seven years. I have come so far in the ways of my disease and have adapted to my circumstances, leaving the traditional workforce and starting my own business. I have grown immensely as an artist, and I love creating now more than I ever have before.

I’m so thankful for how far I’ve come, and can’t wait to see where the next seven years will lead me, both as a person and an artist ✨

Hey there!! My name is Jacquee and I’m a professional artist and creator from Birmingham, AL. I love design of all kinds but specialize in acrylic, ink and digital art ✨

Some fun facts about me :

✨ I have been a paid artist since 2017, which is when Dot JPG Designs was founded

✨ I specialize in pet portraits and have painted over 100 beloved animals for their owners

✨ I created two murals that were on display in downtown Birmingham for almost two years before construction and renovations brought them down

✨ I have two cats, Gelato and Ambrosia, who think they run my household but that’s just not true….okay, maybe it is….

LE NATURAL - Embrace nature, love, and YOU

Being in an in*******al couple, I wanted to decorate our home in a way that felt representative of the both of us. I had a specific look in mind, and was disappointed when I couldn't seem to find any pieces that were similar in style AND portrayed both black and white people or couples.

This bothered me, so when I created the artwork for our space, I decided to create each piece in a variety of skin tones for men and women of all shades.
