After a quick break we are back for the Grassroots Series at Midpond Raceway on May 16th. Join the GripStarz team as we host our first afternoon/night event at the pond. Our Grassroots Series events are targeted for drivers of all experiences so if you're new to the world of track racing or even a veteran, these events are for you! We run the first 4 hours of the event as an open format with 6 cars on track at a time. At the midway point, we start our Hottest Lap Hour where we send two cars out at a time so that they can run flying laps. Afterwards we resume with an open format.

Gates will be opening at noon and tech will start as soon as the first car arrives. Drivers meeting will be at 1:45pm and the track will go hot at 2pm. With this event being later in the day and going into the night, ALL vehicles will be required to have working headlights and taillights. Driver's cost will be $140 and an additional $20 for a transponder if you're wanting to take place in our year long series. Cars will also be timed all day so there's no pressure during the hotlap hour. Spectators are welcomed at $10. Ride alongs are welcomed as well. There will be food on site, merch on site, and remember to watch out for those ducks. We look forward to seeing everyone!

The middle of the month is looking great with back to back events! On May 16th we head back out to the pond for our first afternoon/night event. Our Grassroots Series events are open track day format with a lil bit of a time trial sprinkled in the mix. Whether you're new or a vet these events and the competition will always bring out the best in you. Then on May 24th we head back out to good ole Dodge City Motorsports Park for this year's Bigfoot Rally. This event is growing more and more every year and is always one of my favorites. Last years rally course was 1.5 miles so there's no telling what ole Cam has in store. Competition comes in from all over the southeast to see if they have what it takes to conquer Bigfoot. Come on out to both events and have a blast!

Sup everyone! After talking with the folks over at Dodge City MX, we have decided to move this event to May 24th. By doing this it creates a weekend of rally fun by combining it with their ongoing short track races which sounds like a win in my book!

Still a few months to go but don't miss out! Come on out to Dodge City MX on April 25th for our next Bigfoot Rally! There's usually all kinds of different makes and models that show up so bring out whatever you got. DCMX has been putting in a ton of work with various layouts during the offseason so this is sure to be an absolute banger. Gate fee is $20 bucks and registration is $70 for all day track access and timing is all day long so there's not too much pressure on you guys. Check out some of the shots from our previous events.

We have all kinds of announcements this month but this is one a lot of you guys have been asking about lol. Gripstarz 8-Hours of LePond is back for 2026! Last year we saw several teams go and battle it out at the pond in a showcase of speed and resilience in vehicles of all types.This year we are wanting to take 12 teams and run this back so join us on April 11 for our spring endurance race. Buy-in for the event is $600 and teams have a budget of $3500 to buy and modify a vehicle. For my returning guys you already know the drill. All participating teams will need to send car info/build list to [email protected]. We would prefer if cars would be brought to at least one Grassroots Series event so that we can do a pre-inspection leading up to the event.

Gates will open at 7:30am. I will start tech inspections as soon as the first vehicle is unloaded. In between 7:30am - 9:00am, teams are allowed to do a course walk (highly recommended). At 9:30am we will have our drivers meeting and go over the rules shown below. After the drivers meeting, cars will line up behind the Vic on the back straight to start the parade laps. The Vic will make two laps and exit via the pits....Then the track goes hot!

You already know the vibe at Gripstarz events. We are a laid back group and our events are about having a good time so let's make sure the event is safe, fun, and family oriented as always. There will be food on site and some special "LePond" merch on site as well. So come on out , join the fun, watch for ducks, and as always Stay Tuned!

What's up rally guys! The Gripstarz team is happy to announce the return of The Bigfoot Rally at Dodge City Motorsports Park on April 25th 2026! This event keeps getting bigger and better so join us for some fun in the sun. Driver cost will be $70 and gate fee is $20. This event is for drivers of various experiences and 4 wheeled vehicles of all types. That's right! Cars, trucks, quads, and utv's battling it out for the top of their class. There will be a cash prize for each class dependent on the number of participants so tell all of your friends! The format of this event is stage rally so come on out and see if you have what it takes to beat the competition and conquer Bigfoot! Happy Holidays!

We are finishing off 2025 with a bang! Join the Gripstarz team for our final event of the year. That's right we are bringing to you, the Grassroots Series Finalz!! Come on down to the charming Midpond Raceway December 7th for our final open track day event of the year. Our events are open to drivers of all experiences so jump behind the wheel and enjoy this affordable track time. These open car trackdays are the perfect ways to hone your skills, test out new setups, and meet new folks.

Along with this open car track day, we will be crowning our 2025 champions. The competition has been so fierce that the lead spot has changed at least 3 times in Open Class and the track record has been shattered twice. Over in Pure Driver class, we have an interesting gentleman/gentlewoman's agreement to decide the class so tune in to see our spin on a "star in a reasonably priced car". Our Queen of the Pond Championship is looking like it could come down to the wire. And we will also be crowning our undisputed FWD Class Champion.

TWO DAYS. TWO TRACKS. ONE WEEKEND OF TIME ATTACK.

Join GripStarz as we collaborate with Talladega GP Raceway and Midpond Raceway for a two-day hot lap showdown! We present to you great folks, "The Two Track Classic 2025" on November 8th - 9th. This will be a hot lap competition with a cap of 30 drivers at TGPR and Midpond. For the record, drivers must register BOTH days for this 2-day event.

We will be using a points system based on times in each category on both days and you must run both courses to be eligible for the podium! Trophies and prizes will be awarded on Sunday. Come on out and enjoy tons of track time, some friendly competition, and great camaraderie all at an affordable price!

Grassroots Series guys, this will also be a huge opportunity for you to wipe away some dreary scores from what's been a super rainy season this year for us! That's right TTC25 will also be for points in our year long series so don't!
