♣️ Charity, Change, and the Future of Montana Poker
Montana poker has never just been about the pots — it’s always been about the people.
And the future we’re building together matters more than ever.
At DreamMakers, we believe the next chapter of Montana poker is rooted in giving back, growing together, and building something that lasts beyond any single game.
From charity tournaments to strategy classes to the Dealer’s Olympics, our focus is simple:
use the game we love to lift the community we love.
Because the dream doesn’t end when the cards stop —
it begins every time someone new picks up the deck.
📝 This is the final entry in Part V — and the final chapter of this entire blog series.
Thank you for reading, sharing, and walking this journey with me. The stories may end here, but the dream continues at every table we touch.

Teaching the Next Generation
There’s something special about watching someone learn this game — the way their confidence grows, their shuffle steadies, and their decisions get just a little sharper every time they sit down.
At DreamMakers, teaching isn’t about perfection.
It’s about patience, trust, and that spark of “I can do this.”
Every student who walks into the school brings their own story… and every one of them reminds me why this work matters. Poker connects people. It builds confidence. And it teaches lessons you carry far beyond the table.
Because when you teach someone poker, you’re not just passing on a skill —
you’re passing on a legacy.
🪙 What Teaching Taught Me
1️⃣ Patience builds stronger players.
2️⃣ Confidence grows when someone believes in you.
3️⃣ The learning never stops — not for them, and not for me.
Here’s to the next generation of DreamMakers — one clean deal, one good laugh, and one lightbulb moment at a time.

♠️ The Long Game: Why Montana Poker Still Matters
Some poker stories are loud — neon lights, massive pots, crowds roaring.
Montana poker isn’t one of them.
And that’s exactly why it endures.
Out here, the game lives in small-town bars, long winter nights, and tables full of people who’ve known each other for years. The pots might be smaller, but the stakes? They’re real — patience, reputation, and the kind of loyalty money can’t buy.
Montana poker teaches you the long game:
to wait, to listen, to respect the table, and to keep showing up through snowstorms, cold streaks, and long drives home.
Because under the Big Sky, winning isn’t the point — staying in the game is.

♠️ From Poker Hut to DreamMakers — Social Post
Some journeys don’t feel like journeys until you look back and see how far you’ve walked.
From Poker Hut in 2009 to DreamMakers in 2025, this chapter is about the long road, the hard nights, and the kind of growth you only earn one dealt hand at a time.
If Part IV has a heartbeat, it’s this:
➡️ Every beginning teaches you something.
➡️ Every challenge shapes your purpose.
➡️ And every student who picks up the deck keeps the dream alive.
Running Poker Hut taught me the grind.
Building DreamMakers taught me the why.
Seeing my students deal today?
That’s the full-circle moment I didn’t even know I was chasing.

♦️ New Blog Post Now Live — The Soul Crusher & The Dream Maker
Every poker dealer has a nickname… but mine didn’t come from a joke — it came from a hand that broke a man and made him whole again.
This week’s chapter dives into the moment I earned both sides of my name…
and how that night shaped the dealer, teacher, and DreamMaker I became.
Here’s what’s inside ⬇️
✨ The story behind “Soul Crusher”
A Vegas $2–$5 game, a brutal river, and one player determined to put a name to the pain.
✨ Why “Dream Maker” mattered even more
Because the very next hand proved that poker — like life — always balances the scale.
✨ Finding purpose in the deck
How dealing taught me responsibility, humility, and what it really means to run a game with integrity.
✨ Passing the torch
Why every new dealer trained at DreamMakers continues the legacy born in that Caesars Palace moment.
This one’s about identity, balance, and the heart of the game itself.
If you’ve ever felt the weight of the deck — or the joy of watching someone chase their shot — this chapter is for you.

♠️🏳️‍🌈 Pride Month Player Spotlight: Zuly Bonilla 🏳️‍🌈♠️

Zuly Bonilla is a passionate poker player, community builder, and advocate for greater inclusion within the game.

As a poker workshop organizer and proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, Zuly has helped create welcoming spaces where players of all backgrounds can learn, grow, and enjoy poker. Her efforts demonstrate that the strength of the poker community extends far beyond the cards—it comes from the people who make everyone feel they belong.

By sharing her love of the game and helping others gain confidence at the table, Zuly continues to inspire new players and promote a more inclusive poker environment.

This Pride Month, we're celebrating LGBTQ+ community leaders who help make poker more accessible, welcoming, and representative for everyone.

Representation matters. Visibility matters. Community matters.
