Public art is such an important part of this community.

Several large and popular pieces of outdoor art on the Ferris State University campus are getting much-needed attention this summer, undergoing maintenance to keep them inspiring students and community members for years to come.

Two important public art pieces, "The World Globe" on Ferris' campus and "Breathe" at Swede Hill Park, are being restored after years of exposure to the weather.

A special thanks to the Ferris Physical Plant Grounds crew and the City crew for their assistance with the removal and loading.

We look forward to seeing their restored appearance!

Mrs. Malloy’s 4th Grade Riverview Art Class enjoys a full afternoon of engagement with the arts.
TPAC’s Celebration Pavilion Artist, Marlies Manning, joined them to talk about the process & the Story! Lots of great questions by the students & they know why public art is so important!!
A nice chat about Logging Days and Big Rapids history. The day was completed with a wonderful
visit to the Batdorff Gallery to see “Eco Art,” chat with new Associate Director Natalie Zasadil &
be treated to sidewalk chalk art where they made their own story.
