What an awesome first week of school! Students are excited to be back and explore the new art room. We took a class tour of the room and a scavenger hunt to find the new places the supplies are now stored. Today the 3d sculpture class started their first sculpture challenge and it was nice to have the ability to use the hot glue guns at the tables. Still getting some things put in their places, but I’m so very excited and pleased with the new equipment and the updated space. It’s a wonderful blessing!

North Knox art students. In case you are unaware- today (Monday) is the last day to submit work at the Knox county Open Class Showcase for the fair—-11am. Must be 16 and over to enter.

I’m now back on the page for school. As we enter July I’m starting to think about school and planning projects. Hope everyone is having an awesome summer!

We had our end of the year art show last week with an awesome turn out crowd and hundreds of pieces on display. One of our underclassmen created cartoon portraits at her Doodle Booth which was a hit! The library had old chairs that a class painted and we auctioned off. Seniors had the opportunity to showcase their work individually at tables- we wish you all the best seniors!! It was a great end to the school year.
