T-SHIRT DESIGN - JUNE 9TH - 4 PM TO 7 PM (NOTE: DATE CHANGE)
Create your own T-shirt design with instructor Jacob Neal. This workshop will focus on the elements of art and principles of design associated with T-shirts design. Attendees will learn about different processes of creating apparel including screen printing and heat transfer vinyl. You will then create your own single-color, T-shirt design using a heat-sensitive vinyl transfer technique. Participants are encouraged to bring personal computers/tablets to create their designs digitally.

COMIC BOOK COLLAB - JULY 15TH - 9 AM TO 12 PM
In this workshop, each participant will create an original two-page comic book spread to be included in a Comic Book collaboration. We will begin by writing and storyboarding a short, open-ended story. Next, using Elements of Art and Principles of Design, we will illustrate and color our two-page comic book spread. All completed spreads will then be digitized, compiled into a single-bound comic book and mailed to workshop attendees. Participants are encouraged to bring personal computers/tablets to create their comic book spread digitally.

CHARACTER DESIGN - JUNE 10TH OR JULY 29TH - 9 AM TO 12 PM
Create your very own character design that includes a final character sheet with a headshot, two different body views and an accessory close-up. In this workshop we will discuss character personality and appearance traits. You will also be introduced to some basics of figure drawing, element of art, and principles of design in pursuit of creating your character. Fun and easy for all ages! Learn basic hand drumming skills! 3-4 part rhythms are taught, as well as how to connect and collaborate as a group.
