Fresh from his performances at the Seattle World Percussion Festival, we’re bringing Boka Kouyaté to the Bay Area for two days of West African music, rhythm and culture!

A renowned Guinean musician based in Seattle, Boka is a singer and multi-instrumentalist who plays djembe, balafón and guitar. Even more importantly, he comes from a long line of Mandé griots, a hereditary musical tradition in which history, culture and community knowledge are passed from generation to generation through music, storytelling and song.

Come experience some of that tradition firsthand, and be ready to sing and play!
