Best Laid Plans Improv Playing pretend with two f**king chairs. Best Laid Plans is one of several groups at UC Berkeley specializing in the age-old art of longform improv comedy.

Or, in other words, we make stuff up onstage before an audience, and sometimes it's funny too. Come check us out! We have four regular shows a semester, featuring longform improv, sketch comedy, and occasionally more audience participation than a one-word suggestion. Stay on the lookout for dates, times, and locations! If you want to book us for joint performances, or real performances, or if you just want to hang out or need somebody to talk to, hit us up at [email protected]. We answer! Despite majoring in Tree Economics, Damien finds most of his time taken up by his performative artworks such as “Plank In the Sky” and “Human Burrito.” You can most likely find him reviewing hat durability in the Eucalyptus grove whilst thinking up his next big act “Where’d The Bagel Go?!.”

You might be wondering, who is that stunning individual that has been on BLP for a year now? Officially presenting IAN!

As a sophomore studying Performative Number Theory, Ian has a special talent for predicting phone numbers based on people’s smiles. Her early experience as a child improv prodigy was where this skill was discovered. Ian knows how to make you laugh, but be careful he won’t just steal your heart, but also your phone number.

Chayne wanted a blurb so let us particularly celebrate this rainbow-haired gorgeous gorgeous man who’s been the backbone and s*x appeal of the team since 2023.
