Today 14 years ago my Poppy passed away from ALS. The last few months of his life he would tell everyone who came to visit him, “I’ll see ya at the house”...his house in heaven, well today Denise is seeing him at his house. No doubt she is already remodeling his kitchen!
My aunt Denise fought her metastatic breast cancer hard. She never complained and continued to have joy and laughter through it all.
I’ll miss your infectious laugh and of course our love for all things Disney!
Denise I love and miss you, Say hi to poppy for me! ✨💞

A word from one of our influencers ( ): “Nowadays, it seems like everywhere you go on social media there is a new alert, headline, or warning concerning Covid-19. The information overload suddenly has me overwhelmed. I think many of us feel like you’re in a room and the walls are closing in on you, but written on the walls are words like “despair, restlessness, worry, fear and helplessness”. They seem to be shrinking your personal space smaller and smaller until you feel all alone and completely surrounded by fear.

Suddenly I’ll realize that not only is my physical body in quarantine but my mind has somehow shrunk into its own little cell surrounded by those hopeless thoughts. Then I look through the keyhole and realize the light outside is blazing bright and I’m reminded of the song “Surrounded” by Upper Room.

It sings:
“It may look like I’m surrounded, but I’m surrounded by You” and another line reads “ “This is how I fight my battles”
This led me to question, how am I fighting my battles?

When we , myself included, start to feel life pressing in on us, what do we do? Do we curl up in the fetal position and give up or do we fight back? Do I simply trying to ignore the facts or distract myself with something else *cough cough (countless hours of tik tok – but for real pray for me) or am I choosing to surround myself with the Word, with His love, soak in His presence.

In the end, your problems can wait for you to face them later and any distractions can take a temporary break. Only God is constant and will bring permanent and everlasting peace to your situation.

Romans 8:18 “ the pain that you’ve been feeling, can’t compare to the joy that’s coming.”
I believe this is a season of great preparation for all of us and I encourage you to dive in. Dive into a deeper relationship with Christ, let Him refill your cup over and over. When that room starts to shrink in all around you remember that the light outside is bright and the door has always been unlocked. Get up, walk out and declare: “It may look like I’m surrounded, but I’m surrounded by You!”
