Dundy County Class of 1989 In May of 1989, the most prolific group of young men and women walked out of Tiger Arena to face the world. It is time to reassemble the masses!!!

Class Reunions will take place in Benkelman over Memorial Weekend, May 23, 24, 2014. Traditionally, Class parties take place on the Friday evening, and the official reunion / banquet / dance is held on Saturday. Good day from frigid Benkelman NE!!!

As you were well aware, the Benkelman VFD & 14 other mutual aid departments basically saved the Circle B Motor Lodge (Craig & Connie Kerchal now own the motel), Skyline Grill, and the Stan & Phyllis Jones residence plus the City of Benkelman itself really from disaster in the early morning hours of Friday 1/15/21 from a raging wildfire. I am convinced that they saved lives & millions of $$$ in property damage. With the grace of God, they literally saved Benkelman as we remember it and as it sits today.

Be on the lookout for a post about a fundraiser for the Benkelman VFD (bunker gear) & Dundy County First Responders (radio systems county wide).

Part of the fundraiser will include an Alumni challenge. I would like to challenge our class to make donations towards this cause. All classes will be challenged to do the same. All money donated will be prorated between the two causes.

Here is some cool news, technically our class is already in the lead with $200 in donations (2 $100 donations) thus far & we are just really getting this underway.

If you want more information, give me a call or reach out in some fashion & we will go from there. Big or small, your donations will go towards a great project that protects our local heroes. Please consider making a donation to this worthy cause proving to everyone that the Class of 1989 is still the one to beat!!!
