Sparkle Strands are very fine, silk hair sparkles that are securely tied to an individual strand of your hair. Each shimmering thread lasts until you naturally shed that hair. That could be a day, month or even a year… that’s part of the magic of it all! While it’s impossible to predict, a couple clients have had a few sparkles remain after over a year! of light, and oh yes—lots of joy! As Hair Sparklers here in Central Oregon, we believe each strand represents your own inner sparkle. Of that always present light within you. We’re on a mission to spark more love and joy in your life, one strand at a time.

Introducing our wonderful new Sparkle Squad member, Kat! Kat loves Sparkle Strands ability to create connection through simple joy. She feels that having the opportunity to light up magic in people’s lives and knowing every client leaves with a little more sparkle in their step is an honor and so much fun.

Beyond sparkling, Kat likes to fill her life with music ( ), jewelry ( ), flowers and a good book. She also loves to spend time connecting with her community or treating herself to a classic PNW roadtrip.

Introducing our very first hair stylist to the Sparkle Squad, Cherish! Come see her tonight at our debut at Alpenglow Concert series. When sparkling, Cherish feels there is something truly special about getting to meet new people and getting to play a small part in making them feel amazing. What lights her up most about Sparkle Strands is knowing that what we do gives people an extra reason to smile.

Beyond sparkling, Cherish loves being in nature, traveling, and soaking up live music. She believes there is nothing better than exploring somewhere new or losing herself in a great set. When she’s home, her dog Aspen keeps life fun and full of adventure. And at the end of the day, it’s all about the people, good times with friends and family are what truly light her up!

Spring is in the air and the sparkle calendar is filling up ✨ April is bringing a whole lineup of places to come get your hair sparkled! We’ll be popping up around Central Oregon—from the Redmond Flea Market to our regular downtown sparkling days at Wooltown in Bend, plus First Friday fun at Truffle Pig & up to for RendezVan (where sparkles will be complimentary all three nights we’re there!). It’s the perfect excuse to wander, connect, and add a little shimmer to your spring.

We’re also extra excited to debut our very first partnership with The Coyote for an 80s-themed brunch party—big hair, bright vibes, and plenty of sparkle to match. If you’ve been thinking about getting your strands done, April is the moment. Grab a friend, come say hi, and let’s welcome the season with a little extra shine. 🌸✨

Today, Sparkle Strands is closed in solidarity with the General Strike. We stand with our brothers and sisters.
We stand with Trans and LGBTQ+ communities, immigrants, BIPOC, and all people who are being targeted, marginalized, or made to feel unsafe.
We stand for every living being’s right to feel safe, loved, supported, and free.

These are challenging times. We encourage everyone to surround themselves with their chosen family, tend to their nervous systems, and prepare emotionally, spiritually, and practically for how to move through what’s unfolding.

The time is now.
This is a wake-up call.
Change and collective shifts are not coming later they are happening through us in this moment.
