How do you feel or what do you see when you look at this little painting called "Texture my Colors"?

1. Let's do a collective creation. First I will leave this up from Sept 7th to Sept 28th d to allow people to comment.

2. Then we will challenge the poets among us to capture our collective thoughts and write a poem. (By Oct 15)

3. A kind musician to follow that and write a little melody to suit. (By Nov 7)

4. And if we are really lucky...someone to sing the tune. (Start doing your vocal exercises everyone! 🤣🤣👏)

My small home is tipsy turvy these days, getting ready for over a dozen new classes this fall semester. So you might say my Create Every Day is built in!

This weekend I'm preparing 100 pieces of homemade paper for the Messy and Mindful Collage and Paper Your Dreams papermaking Workshops.

On this long weekend, I hope you let yourself dream a little. See whispers in the clouds, hear your own music in birdsong, and feel the comfort of friends and family. 💃🥳🐝

Almost forgot!

I don't talk a lot about discipline and the role it plays in our creative lives. Many people do, so that seems enough.

Except that...my discipline is to share how we can create every day. It's 10:30 pm. I've been working all day. But, I forgot and that leaves me with only one recourse- get it done.

I love the colors and textures of this watercolor. Feels grounded and like he has something to say.

If I heard him right - he told me to get busy and keep my word. 😉

FOR YOU - These flowers are for you, my friends.

This world seems to be wearing down so many people. I am trying to steer my creative juices toward the joy that is always present for us - inside ourselves.

If we get still enough, there is a quiet reason to feel joy. Maybe the sound of the creek water passing by as you walk. Of course, I have to turn off "the talking" to hear it. 😉

A reason for joy is always present. I talked to my mom yesterday - she is 92. Joy for me. ❤️

When we build our creative strength, we don't do it with winners - we just create. Every single day. Something. Dinner from leftovers. A strange way to get our car door to close. Or maybe a collage of papers... and a lady's head pops out!

From this timed 15 min creative play the period I was happy to see the perspective - the journey way back into the mountains that appeared. The lady, let's call her AGNUS, was a bonus! 🤣

I found her the other day. My princess. I know she is not a grand masterpiece, but I cannot find the words to express how much I loved her when she arrived. I was only beginning to allow myself to paint - and share what I painted.

When I look at the painting, I can sense the flow of creativity that was setting me free from myself. She is peaceful, quiet, and confident. I am not always so. Looking at her helps me remember, though, that it is possible.

Thursday Creation - I spend a lot of time talking to wildflowers, hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies. It's all about their ability to pollinate that captured my imagination. Until, finally, I realized that was my role in life too. No matter what energy I carry, I am spreading a flow wherever I go.

So I started writing about the Wildchilds of Fairhaven - in poems with a purpose.

This is a rare creation of mine - I took the photo and asked AI to add a hippie van and turn it into a graphic. It was a fun way to create. Not my thing really as a habit - but creating favors curiosity. 🧐
