While some Easter lore says the Easter bunny lays eggs, there are some mammals that actually do.
Platypus are one of two species of mammals that lay eggs, the other is the echidna. Both critters are native to Australia 🇦🇺

Possum fun fact time! Possums are the northernmost marsupials in the world! They are also the only marsupial in North America!
Like all marsupials the babies are born very early and finished developing in the mother's pouch. When they get bigger they leave her pouch and ride on her back, up to 13 of them!

Possums are excellent climbers, they have opposable thumbs on their hind feet and a prehensile tail that lets them grab onto branches, and hang upside down when they are babies.

Valentine's Day may be over but you can still paint this snuggly pair of heart-faced barn owls at Roam on the 28th!

Did you know barn owls have asymmetrical ears? Their left ear hold is positioned higher on their skull than their right ear hole. This, combined with a large hear-shaped facial disc that functions like a satellite dish helps channel sound waves to their odd ears and allows them to pinpoint their prey in complete darkness!
