Our 10th anniversary event has officially come to a close, and our hearts are full. We are deeply grateful to our sponsors, partners, exhibitors, performers, workshop presenters, volunteers, staff, vendors, and everyone who joined us and supported Japan Fair.

This event is only possible because of the time, care, generosity, and hard work of so many people. Thank you for helping us bring the community together and celebrate Japanese culture in such a meaningful way.

We will be sharing more photos and highlights soon, but for now, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Big gratitude to Japan Fair for inviting us back for another incredible year!

​We had an absolute blast performing, but the true highlight was the incredible energy from the audience. We especially loved the kakeai (call-and-response) having everyone jump in, participate, and match our energy bringing the performance to life!

​Both Seattle Kokon Taiko and Japan Fair share a deep passion for celebrating and preserving Japanese traditions right here in the Pacific Northwest, and sharing that interactive heartbeat with the community is what it's all about.

毎年Japan FairにてKIMONO ARTの鵜川 有による多彩なきものショーを開催しています。今年のテーマは「日本の伝統的な染織と文様」です。

日本には数多くのきもの文化があり、それぞれが四季の移ろいを表現し、また、それを生み出した人々の歴史や文化、精神を映し出しています。

10周年を迎える今年のステージでは、KIMONO ARTならではの「伝統と現代の融合」というスタイルを通して、これらの工芸美をご紹介いたします。

The Japan Fair 2026 Cosplay Contest is happening this Sunday! Come show off your costume crafting skills and creativity on stage.

Contestant sign-up will be open at the Sakura-Con table in the lobby from 2:30 PM to 2:50 PM.

Prizes include a pair of memberships to Sakura-Con 2027, happening March 26–28, 2027!

Please note: This is a family-friendly event. No weapons are allowed, and store-bought costumes such as Halloween-style costumes may not be eligible for registration.
