"Dark Fawn Monsters & More: The art of Wendi Go" is art that is all about monsters and other quirky

Wendi Go is an artist who creates monsters and other offbeat folk out of varying media. On here you will see things that are kit and crocheted, painted, drawn, sculpted, and cast. Most of Wendi's work centers on mythical and supernatural things such as dragons, krakens, the Krampus, and things that may come from your dreams and nightmares. Other works include sculptures of movie characters, animal

s and beings we can actually see, and wearable objects. Wendi has included her new works as well as her prolific older works on this page for you to see. Depending on how the wind blows, she may be open for commissions, but focuses a lot on getting ready for conventions and craft shows. Be sure to catch her at those various functions (that will be shown on an updated list of shows)

This is the most challenging cake I’ve done yet. A woman asked me to do a beach scene with her two daughters on beach towels. It took a while but I think it was worth it. There’s even a little crab on the beach :)

I don't know wth this thing is supposed to be but it was so effing cute I had to get it when I was at Sheetz filling up my car. His tag name is Grinner, so I want to call him Lee Pace but I don't know if his full name works. What say you, internets?

Also, Mardi loves him, so he may end up in cat clutches >.<

My mom and I were cleaning out the crawlspace in my old room and we threw out a ton of stuff. Yay! Meanwhile I found some flower clips I made some years ago that are supposed to be poppies. I stuck them in my hair for sh*tes and giggles. Figured I look kind of cute.

I don't usually do selfies, but I cut my hair today and I think I finally got it where I want it. It's got an undercut on the sides and back and a 1920s style bob that allows for my curls to shine. The next step is getting it bleached and then having it dyed sea foam blue. I know it sounds "unprofessional" but it makes me feel like a new woman. It also lets me cool off in all this heat. So exciting!

I got my yarn!!! I ordered yarn from Humble Acres and it's absolutely gorgeous :). The two I got are Spellcaster's Rose (the purple) and the Rusty Clouds kit (5 hank kit). The purple is on a sparkle sock base. It's perfect for making an Asexual pride shawlette, as it contains all of the colors. The Rusty Clouds will be made into an exquisite shawlette that will be made either into a gift or for sale. Or for me, if I'm feeling selfish enough.

My lovely Salem is modeling the yarn for me.

Please ignore the bathroom background. It's the only room in the house with decent lighting this time of night. :)
