There are paintings that capture a moment, and then there are those that hold a story within every brushstroke. Garden Passage is one of those pieces. More than just a set of stairs illuminated by sunlight, this painting is a reflection of friendship, shared creativity, and the bond that transcends words.
Inspired by a Joni Young YouTube tutorial, "How to Paint a Secret Garden" (https://youtu.be/VTh8_IUmaXI) , this piece is deeply personal. My best friend—who is more like a sister to me—and I once painted a version of this together. It was a moment of artistic connection, where laughter mixed with the sound of brushes on canvas. When she asked me to post this on her birthday, I knew it was the perfect way to honor both her and the memory we created.
The lush greens, the vibrant flowers, and the golden beams of sunlight represent growth, warmth, and the paths we walk together. Just like in art, friendship is about layering experiences, blending differences, and creating something beautiful that stands the test of time.
Happy birthday to my sister in spirit—this one’s for you. May our journey continue, filled with color, light, and endless inspiration.

This is "Golden Hour at the Jobsite" A friend from a former job asked me to create this piece as a Christmas gift for her son, who is captivated by work trucks. I poured my love for vibrant details into this scene, capturing a sunset that mirrors the wonder and excitement we feel as kids—especially when watching bulldozers and dump trucks at work.

This painting reminds me why I love creating: each piece tells a unique story and connects us to the people and moments we cherish.

I was inspired to create this painting for my office after watching ColorByFeliks' video, Castle STEP by STEP Acrylic Painting Tutorial (ColorByFeliks) https://youtu.be/IWo-ab9gNpQ?si=oueFJCLjfw0rmZJq. The peaceful sunset, towering castle, and mystical dragon were captivating, and I felt compelled to bring my own interpretation to life. The dragon was not in Feliks' painting. I added that touch.
When visitors come into my office and see the painting, I like to joke that it’s a picture of my house and my pet dragon, Loki. This piece has sparked so many fun conversations and brings a touch of whimsy to my workspace!
