A few BIG updates for our Comin’ In HOTT Open 4D Barrel Series!

• Our start date has changed! I accidentally double-booked myself (school🤪) July 24, so the series will now kick off Friday, August 7.

• NO NOMINATION FEES! We’ve decided to do away with nominations to make the series more affordable for everyone.

•We took a hint from the ropers & now have a 40 & over class!

• We are officially Arkansas Elite Barrel Racing approved! We’re excited to welcome Arkansas Elite members to the series!

We appreciate everyone’s understanding with the date change, and we truly think these updates make the series even better. We can’t wait to see everyone in Prague on August 7!🔥

Lots of opportunities to get your cattle sorting on this week!

Whether you’re brand new to sorting, looking to tune up before a jackpot, or ready to compete, we’ve got something for everyone.

Wednesday (7/15): Practice Night | 6:00–8:00 PM
Friday (7/17): Practice Night | 6:00–8:00 PM
* 60-second practice runs
* Partners available if you don’t have one
* Beginners are always welcome!

Saturday (7/18): Ranch Sorting Jackpot
* Fresh cattle
* Beginner Ranch Hand class
* Open Sorting
* More practice runs before the jackpot
* Great competition and a fun atmosphere for all experience levels!

Timed event peeps—this is a fantastic opportunity to get your horses doing something besides running the pattern! Working cattle helps develop responsiveness, confidence, body control, and keeps their minds engaged. It’s a fun way to mix up their routine, and you’d be surprised how much it can benefit your barrel, pole, rope, or goat horses.

Come ride, learn, practice, and have a great time. Whether it’s your first time sorting or you’ve been doing it for years, we’d love to have you at Double J Arena this week. See you there!

Well… we tried.

Unfortunately, we’re going to have to cancel Saturday night’s race. With fewer than 20 pre-entries, there’s just no way to cover the arena costs and pay the help it takes to put these events on.

I’ll be honest—this one stings. We pour a lot of time, money, and heart into putting on races, and it’s discouraging when we can’t make them work or they’re scheduled over. At the same time, I’m grateful that there are so many wonderful producers in our area that have high quality races every night of the week. That’s absolutely wonderful.

To those of you who pre-entered, shared our posts, showed up, and have supported Smokin’ Stampede Productions over the years… thank you. We don’t take your support for granted, and it means more than you know.

As of now, Saturday night’s race is still a GO! 🤠

To help beat the heat, we’ve pushed everything back to a later start time, but pre-entries are extremely important as we make our final decision.

🏇 If you’re planning to come, please:
✔️ Pre-enter on Rodeo Results, or
✔️Send me a PM, or
✔️ Text me so we can get an accurate headcount.

⏰ We’ll make the final call by 3:00 PM FRIDAY, based on pre-entries and conditions.
