The Shredford Skatepark Project, started by local skaters; Tyler Sims, Seth Abel, and Chad Parkinson, is a project aimed at building a new skatepark in Bedford IN. The three of us are life-long skateboarders and Bedford natives, who grew up skating our local skatepark day in and day out. For many like us, the skatepark has been a home away from home and a special place where a blend of community a
nd culture can be found. We’ve spent countless hours with our friends, trying new and challenging tricks and using this beloved outlet to express ourselves freely. We’re now in our early 30s, and although we still carry this same spirit that skateboarding has given us, we are now diverting our attention to the quality and longevity of the skateboarding scene in Bedford. In doing so, we want to address the skateparks current conditions and provide a goal oriented plan, that proposes the build of a revitalized concrete skatepark.
