Long Island Puerto Rican/Hispanic Day Parade

Long Island Puerto Rican/Hispanic Day Parade The Puerto Rican Hispanic Parade is a tradition of the Brentwood community that began in 1966. Now the tradition lives on!

The parade is held on the first Sunday of June every year on 5th avenue in Brentwoood from 12:00 pm In spring of 2012, after more than four decades of honoring the tradition of the annual Puerto Rican Hispanic Day Parade in Brentwood, Adelante (founding organization) was faced with canceling the event due to lack of funding. In response to this reality, our organization, Teatro Yerbabruja joined f

orces with the rest of the community in a successful effort to save the parade. Join us as we embark on another year of celebrating our rich cultural history here in Long Island!
