Update from this weekend for the Bahama Brackets down at the Grundy County Speedway in Morris Illinois. Friday we showed up ready to rock. Got all set up, started practice. Made minor adjustments and practiced again. Did have to change out the starter before the heat race. Cruised into the heat with 10 laps to run. Unfortunately ended up awfully close to the wall in an unexpected slam on the passenger side. This resulted in a broken lower ball joint, upper A frame and lower tie rod end. We ran around searching for parts. Ended up empty handed for the night. The car sat where parked until morning. Thankfully this team kept positivity in mind because we knew we were not out yet! Had people all around helping out in every direction! Online and in person! 2 more crew members floored it from Battle Creek Sunday morning with parts in hand! We ended up puzzling together all the parts needed and made it just in time for line up in the AA Feature. With many issues still at hand, but not to our surprise, our driver drove his ass off, and through traffic from starting 16th. Josh brought home the 1st Place Trophy 🏆 and an extra $100 from a drawing for Grundy Rookie driver from furthest away! We want to shout out our thanks from the bottom of our hearts for everyone, including people we do not even know, for all the support, help and hard work this weekend! Bobby Stremme, Nick Stremme and John Culp were awesome people to meet! Thanks for being there for Josh, and us when we needed you! Between our race team and others, we showed up and showed off! Grundy County Speedway knows who is now!! We went wrecker to checker!! 🏁 Thanks for the show Grundy County Speedway 🏁 Had a blast! 🦩🌺🌴
