Thankful I have redundant backups!!!
Just had another 12TB Hard Disk Drive take a crap!!!

Let this serve as a warning for everyone...if you keep your files on a hard drive make sure you have redundant backups because if your hard drive fails to function and you don't have a backup you will lose all that data!

Yes there are services who can attempt to retrieve the data BUT it costs approx. $1200+ depending on the company. Plus the cost of a hard drive for it to be transferred to so another $300+ depending on hard drive size.

Thankfully because of the last failure I already had bought 2 additional hard drives....1 has been used as a redundant drive already, and the other had sat in the box til I got around to do a secondary redundant backup.

Low an behold 9 months later, another hard drive fails and the 2nd new one has to be opened and backups need to be done again for peace of mind.

Like i've always said, "If its not one thing its always another" &
"If I didn't have bad luck I wouldn't have luck at all".
