They escaped human trafficking. But their fight for freedom didn’t end there.
For years, two Venezuelan women endured human trafficking and sexual exploitation in Peru. Their traffickers used fear, violence, surveillance, and even their children to keep them under control.
Then they saw an opportunity to escape.
With their two young children, they ran.
Law enforcement responded, ultimately leading to the arrest of three people suspected of human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
Our Rescue immediately stepped in to provide the survivors and their children with food, clothing, medical care, and safe temporary accommodation. Now, we’re working alongside the survivors and Peruvian authorities to help secure longer-term housing and continued support as these mothers begin rebuilding their lives.
