I have learned that my seasons of “mountain-top” security can easily make me forget that I am entirely dependent on God, leading to a “meltdown” where I feel like I’ve hit rock bottom. But this is my testimony that God doesn’t leave me in the pit.
I am holding fast to the truth that His anger is momentary, but His favor lasts a lifetime. Weeping might take up residence for a night, but I know that joy is coming in the morning. He has taken off my “sackcloth” of sadness and clothed me with joy, turning my mourning into dancing. My goal now is to never be silent, but to praise Him forever for being my helper and turning my life around.
