Very last minute post, but for those of you coming todey, please park near the trailer or house and trailer walk down to the workshop. We are concerned about the bridge after last night.

Margretta will be hosting while I'm out and Alice will be helping with the loom warping.

Local turkey friends for visibility.

Optical blending is what happens when our brain does the color mixing instead of the paint brush, so to speak. Join me at to learn about blending colors in new and exciting ways.

Have you ever taken a gorgeous indie-dyed braid and accidentally turned those beautiful colors to mud? Or did you love a batt until you saw the finished yarn knitted? From color theory to application, this class explores the art of optical blending and color handling to help you decide where the color should go in your project.

Sadly, I'll need to cancel our spin-in this month. Between the heat and me being ill, we won't be able to make it work. We'll meet again in October! Next month we'll have a loooooming party and warp the Gilmore in the workshop!

Help needed! Hello fleece friends, I need help sourcing some class examples. I'm looking for some examples of baa-aa-aad fleeces.

Things I'm looking for -
- fleece with breaks
- second cuts
- inconsistent staple length
- sun-bleached tips
- felting
- scurf
- canary staining or other staining
- mold
- burrs and vm that won't come out
- old crusty lanolin
- guard hair

And yes, some of these things are breed specific or expected in some cases, but I'm looking for the cases where they are undesireable.

I don't need full fleeces, just a few ounces, maybe a 6-12" chunk of fleece, that clearly demonstrate the qualities.

Willing to pay for shipping or do a happy dance for you. DM me if you have some gnarly fleece you'd like to pass my way. This is your chance to be rid of it for good!

Buying a fleece can be intimidating. How do you know it will be a good one? I've got a class for that! Join me at on October 3. We'll talk about what qualities to look for and how to identify problems in a fleece. We'll get hands on with some fleece, so if you love that sheepy smell, this is the class for you!
