A career highlight for us at ROMP Festival ❤️

We had the honor of singing Ola Belle Reed’s “I’ve Endured” with the legendary Ronnie McCoury sitting in. Ronnie has a deep family connection to Ola Belle’s songs and legacy through his father, the great Del McCoury.

The performance took place as part of a conversation moderated by Cliff Murphy of Smithsonian Folklife exploring Maryland’s deep bluegrass roots and the ways traditions are passed from one generation to the next.

Stoked to be heading to Kentucky in June!

🎻✨ Big news!

ROMP Festival is excited to announce our participation in “Of the People: The Smithsonian Festival of Festivals,” a series of programs and exchanges marking the 250th anniversary of the United States and showcasing the nation’s remarkable cultural landscape.

These programs bring the spirit of the Smithsonian Folklife Festival—the institution’s largest and longest-running event—to community festivals in several states and territories.

This partnership has allowed us to expand our lineup to include: Dom Flemons & The Traveling Wildfires, Larry Cordle, The Hazel Project Band, Charm City Junction, Thomm Jutz, Michael Daves & Jacob Jolliff, Chris Roberts & Pat McGrath, Radim Zenkl & Ondra Kozák, and more to be announced.

This project received funding from the Smithsonian’s “Our Shared Future: 250,” a Smithsonian-wide initiative supported by private philanthropy and created to commemorate the nation’s 250th anniversary and advance the Smithsonian vision for the next 250 years.
