We were honored to celebrate Mother’s Day with the extraordinary, award-winning artist BIRCKHEAD and his band in a live contemporary jazz performance. Their music energized the room, lifted our spirits, and made the day truly unforgettable!

Hosted in partnership with Dawn and Keith at their historic home in Baltimore’s Hollins Market neighborhood, the evening continued a beautiful tradition of salon-style performances.

Union Square Soirée was honored to receive a grant in support of the presentation of Brent Birckhead. This engagement of Brent Birckhead was made possible in part through the Mid Atlantic Tours program of Mid Atlantic Arts with support from the National Endowment for the Arts in collaboration with Ibermúsicas.

On April 30, a delegation from Belarus visited Baltimore for a day trip under the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), in collaboration with the World Trade Center Institute (WTCI) - the only organization working on this exchange program in Maryland.
The meeting explored the theme “Freedom of Expression as a Driver of Innovation and Economic Growth.” The delegation included artists, entrepreneurs, and art studio owners.
We, the Union Square Soirée team, were honored to be part of this event and meet all these wonderful and talented people from Belarus!

Blue Hour: A Jazz Evening
That evening, we featured an up-and-coming pianist Douglas Anderson and two incredible jazz bands: Ahmed Warshanna and his genre-defying sextet, Ishta!, along with the amazing jazz vocalist Emily Perkins and pianist Anthony Pocetti.
It was a wonderful evening - everyone seemed to melt into the music, leaving the outside world behind for a little while.

We’re delighted to conclude our third season this Saturday with a very special evening of French and English art songs featuring internationally acclaimed tenor Norman Shankle, award-winning pianist Ramilya Saubanova, and acclaimed cellist Jacques-Pierre Malan, who will join the program for selected works.

Join us this Saturday at 7:00 PM for our beautiful soirée, and stay afterward for a reception with homemade hors d’oeuvres as we celebrate the end of the season together.
