Our Album Release Concert is this Friday, June 26 at Creative Alliance in Baltimore! We’re excited to celebrate the release of our new album Hand’s Cove with our hometown community at one of our favorite local venues. We’ll have copies of the album available at the show.

We’ll debut new music from Hand’s Cove with our full quartet: Brad on banjo and gourd banjo, Ken on hammered dulcimer and hammered mbira, Rachel Eddy on guitar and fiddle, and Alex Lacquement on upright bass.

This album celebrates 15 years of making music together as a father-son duo. What started as living room jam sessions has grown into five albums, countless concerts, and a musical partnership we never could have imagined. We hope you’ll join us at Creative Alliance on June 26 to celebrate Hand’s Cove!

New music alert! The first single and title track off our upcoming new album Hand’s Cove is out today! Featuring gourd banjo and hammered dulcimer, we’re joined by Rachel Eddy on guitar and Alex Lacquement on bass for this groovy original tune. Listen and Pre-order at links in bio.

The tune is inspired by Hand’s Cove on Lake Champlain in Vermont adjacent to a family cabin that has been passed down for generations on Alison’s side of the family (Brad’s mom and Ken’s wife). The cove has historical significance as it’s where Ethan Allen and the Green Mountain Boys hid in the dark of night before paddling across the lake to capture Fort Ticonderoga in the early stages of the American Revolutionary War. We often canoe deep into the marshy cove alongside lily pads, cattails and majestic birds overhead. Brad composed “Hand’s Cove” imagining what it must’ve felt like to hide out in the cove moments before paddling across the lake to capture the fort.
