After tossing people through time/space's lower digestive tract, we collectively decided to do a bit of a mythos restart. When we started writing Gatecrashers modules, we started with the filthy, post-scifi stylings of Backend, a port city that dangles from a roving, broken planetoid. This cover art by Ghostbat was for a 5e D&D module called "Dominion of Detritus," where some newly arrived Gatecrashers navigate the complex and corrupt socioeconomic dungeon at the multiverse's bu****le.

Sanctuary Lake provides fresh water to the entirety of Wanderlust, the Gatecrasher homeworld, as it hurtles through time-space. Interplanar biological theorist and illustrator Ben Smith has suggested that this seemingly endless source of water is a portal to another world. Explorers also claim that its currents carry untold alien dangers up from its depths.
