Throwback to earlier this month at our inaugural Sips on the Square: Beer, Wine & Spirit Fest!

Featuring local wineries, breweries, and distilleries, guests sipped and savored the flavors of the Midwest while enjoying live music from alt-folk duo N!te Owls and complimentary appetizers.

We had a few sprinkles, but overall the rain held off—giving us the perfect overcast backdrop to enjoy a June afternoon in Kansas.

A huge thank you to our Title Sponsors, Maley & Sons Construction, LLC and Baldwin State Bank, for helping make it all possible.

Cheers to summer!

Baldwin City, we need to hear from YOU!

Originally, the Chick-fil-A truck was scheduled to be at the pool for our home swim meets—but with the pool currently out of commission, they’re checking to see if there’s still enough interest to come to town on Friday, June 19.

Would you still stop by? And where would you prefer to see them—outside the pool or at a downtown location?

Summer camp is out exploring our community this summer! ☀️

Each Wednesday, campers visit local partners including the Library and the Lumberyard Arts Center (LAC).

Our visits to the LAC are especially meaningful as campers learn about collaborative art, the creative process, and how individual contributions come together to create a final project. This summer, we're excited to be working on something special that will incorporate the campers' creations into a community project. Stay tuned for more details!

We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with these community-focused organizations and appreciate everyone who helps create enriching experiences for our campers and our community.🖌️🧡

UPDATE: We had to cancel Dog Days last Wednesday, but good news—Hoka was able to reschedule! 👟

A Hoka rep will be joining the 5:30AM Dog Days session on Wednesday, June 17, to demo their carbon plate shoes.

Come check out the gear, ask questions, and still get a great workout in. Don’t miss it!

A little bright spot from around BCRC ☀️

While we've been working through the pool closure, our Summer Camp kids have continued to bring the energy, excitement, and joy that make summer so much fun!

You might know that our camp visits the pool twice a week and have been just as disappointed by the closure as the rest of our community. However, they have shown incredible flexibility and enthusiasm as we've adjusted plans and are looking forward to new adventures. This week, campers will have the opportunity to visit community pools in Ottawa and Lawrence 🩵

From games and crafts to field trips and pool days, we thought we'd share a few of our favorite moments from camp so far this summer. Thank you to our camp staff and camp families for their flexibility and support as we continue navigating a unique summer season!

Did you know? BCRC set program participation records in FOUR leagues in 2025! 💪

Youth softball, Little Sluggers, 2nd grade basketball, and adult volleyball all hit new highs (although we’ve already broken the volleyball record again this year!).

From 5-year-olds learning baseball to adults staying active on Sundays, Baldwin City shows that it's all about connection, community, and FUN.
