🏳️‍🌈The Oleander Pride Walk is a free family-friendly event. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on leashes.

The event and route are wheelchair accessible. Please be aware that there may be uneven grass in the park, but we set up near the sidewalk as best we can.

Please help us keep this event clean and safe by staying on sidewalks and disposing of trash and pet waste properly.

Weather is forecast to be in the mid 70s to low 80s in the morning.

👽It’s going to be OUT of This World! 🛸

Welcoming F Street to route this year! We have new houses and new artists to welcome along with a few returning neighbors. 🏳️‍🌈

Meetup and activities begin at 9am

Costume showcase starts at 9:30. We will crown two “gaylien” royalty 👽👑 at they’ll help lead off the walk beginning at 10. All are welcome 🤗

🌈 Looking back on last year’s Oleander Pride Walk and feeling grateful for every step, every smile, and every person who showed up to celebrate love, community, and belonging. We can’t wait to do it again.

We’re back!! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

We're sad to announce that this year's Oleander Pride event has been cancelled. This decision was made after careful consideration of several factors that came up over the past week.

The biggest factor is that our amazing event has outgrown Beale Park, and it would take a massive financial and logistical lift to move it to another space, find vendors, arrange security, etc. to deliver the high-quality experience that our community deserves and has come to love over the past four years. We feel the best course of action at this time is to hold off on this year's event. We are happy to support other local events.

Bakersfield is home to several other amazing Pride events, including the Bakersfield Museum of Art's Pride event on Thursday, June 27, from 7-10 p.m. We will share information about this event and others happening throughout June in our community. If you know of any other Pride events happening, please share them with us too.

Much love to our Oleander Pride community. We are so grateful for all of you. Love always wins.
