Volunteers Needed for the Grand Old 4th 🇺🇸

Be part of one of Bainbridge Island’s favorite community traditions.

We’re looking for volunteers to help with setup, parade operations, street fair support, Family Fun Zone activities, shuttle assistance, beer garden operations, teardown, and more.

Volunteers receive snacks and drinks courtesy of Town & Country Market, Grand Old 4th swag, and an invitation to our annual volunteer appreciation party after we all recover.

Whether you can give a few hours or spend the day with us, we’d love to have you on the team.

Join us for Under the Lanterns, a community dance party at Sisters’ Cider House supporting AAHF Month and celebrating connection, creativity, and community. Expect an unforgettable night with DJ Eli, delicious food, special cider offerings, and all the cozy late-night summer energy we love so much on Bainbridge.

Whether you come to dance, gather with friends, support the cause, or just soak in the atmosphere under the lanterns, we’d love to have you there.

A fun and festive day planning and coordinating a very special Eagle Scout Court of Honor. Adorable cupcakes from , beautiful programs designed by us and printed by and who doesn’t love a good balloon arch? I’m still trying to get the latex off my hands, but it was worth it.

Huge thanks to everyone who helped these inspirational young women celebrate in style, including Mayor , who gave a wonderful presentation and shared a letter of recognition from City of Bainbridge Island. Fun fact: he is the youngest Eagle Scout in Washington state history.

Bubbles, Bagels & Bounce is live at the BIR Boathouse!

Hosted by Bainbridge Events and BIR, with Briny Bagels on site serving up fresh bagels, plus mimosas and muffins to keep things festive.

Bounce houses, movies, crafts and more for the kids.
All ages welcome, we’re here until 12 PM. Come join us!

Just in: Bubbles, Bagels & Bounce is getting a delicious upgrade. We’re now featuring island favorite Briny Bagels.

Join us at the Bainbridge Island Rowing Boathouse on April 25 from 10 AM–12 PM for a fun, easygoing morning with bounce houses, tasty bites, and a little something for the grown-ups too.

All are welcome. Drop in anytime. Food and drinks are available by suggested donation to support Bainbridge Island Rowing.

Come hang, bring the kids, and soak up a great community morning.

Bubbles, Bagels, and Bounce
Saturday, April 25 | 10–12 PM
BIR Boathouse

Join us for a cozy spring morning of open play at the boathouse. We’re bringing the bounce houses back, rolling a springtime movie on the big screen, and setting up a simple craft for little hands to enjoy.

We’ll have bagels, breakfast bites, and bubbles for the grownups available to sip while the kids play.

This is a drop-in, donation-based event. Come as you are, stay as long as you’d like, and ease into the weekend with us.

All are welcome.

Grateful to have partnered with for their annual Bingo fundraiser. From linens and glassware to staging, it was incredible to see so much of our inventory come together in support of such a meaningful cause. Events like this are what it’s all about.

We had such a great time at the .humanities.bainbridge Ruby Gala last night, hosted at . Arts and Humanities Bainbridge does incredible work supporting artists and the creative community on our island, and it was an honor for The Lightning Booth by Bainbridge Events to be part of the celebration.

Guests stopped by throughout the evening to capture portraits, group photos, and moments from a beautiful night celebrating the arts.

A photo booth is one of the best ways to engage guests, create lasting keepsakes, and produce branded images organizations can share long after the event ends.

Happy International Women’s Day.

I feel incredibly lucky to work alongside some truly talented and hardworking women who help keep this business moving every day.

• Samantha Christopherson – owner and founder of Bainbridge Events and The Lightning Booth. I wear a lot of hats, but my favorite part of this work is creating experiences that bring people together and building a team that makes it all possible.

• Alissa Swanson – our most seasoned veteran and the backbone of our operations. She leads our in-store workflow and deliveries and somehow keeps everything running smoothly even during the busiest weeks.

• Lilly Acevedo – Photo Booth lead, sales support, and logistics problem solver. Lilly brings great energy to our events and helps ensure the details behind the scenes are handled.

• Alyson Circeo – our brand and marketing partner and part of our coordination team. Aly has been instrumental in helping shape the voice and vision of our growing event work.

And beyond our internal team, I’m grateful for the many incredible women we collaborate with throughout the year. from planners, vendors, venue partners, artists, and caterers to fellow business owners who help make our events and our community so special.

This business would not exist without the creativity, leadership, and support of women.

We’re hosting another Kids Party Pop-Up at the Boathouse next Sunday, March 15 from 10–12 PM at the Bainbridge Island Rowing Center.

Stop by for a relaxed morning of play and fun:
• Bounce houses
• Arts & crafts
• Movie on the big screen
• Breakfast treats and drinks available for purchase

Drop in anytime during the event and let the kids play while you enjoy a low-key morning by the water.

Suggested donation:
$20 per child • $10 for each additional child

And if you love this setup, our Kids Party Packages are now booking for April 25, April 26, and May 17.
