I don’t know how old I was in this picture and I definitely had no idea what I wanted to be. This is one of three pictures I actually have of me during this time and the only one with a physical copy.

I don’t remember much during this time as I have repressed trauma from a young age from feelings of abandonment and rejection. What i do know, is during this time I was smart,bold and sassy until my circumstances told me I was too BIG. I just desired safety and connection at this age.

As a response, I have been able to reach almost every goal I have set for myself as a way to prove my worth and to be seen, which still went unnoticed. I dreamed and worked my butt off for my exact career I desired today.

With that however, last year I realized I was living a life of what I should do to have stability and safety, not actually something that brought me joy. This has enlightened me that my career no longer aligns with my values of family, freedom of time and connection. Over this last year I have begun to dream again and have found joy. I love it here.

Connection requires vulnerability. Do something courageous today, i would love to celebrate you.
