UNDOC+Collective cofounders Federico Cuatlacuatl and Erika Hirugamiwill be joined in conversation by Rigoberto Luna and moderated by LΓ©o Zhang to discuss π˜›π˜ͺ𝘒𝘹𝘀𝘒𝘴 𝘐𝘯𝘡𝘦𝘳𝘨𝘒𝘭Ñ𝘀𝘡π˜ͺ𝘀𝘹𝘴, π˜›π˜°π˜±π˜ͺ𝘭𝘦𝘒𝘴𝘡𝘳𝘰𝘯Ñ𝘢𝘡π˜ͺ𝘀𝘹𝘴, Cuatlacuatl’s first and recently published monograph, which includes an essay by Hirugami.

The conversation will center on transborder Indigeneity and forced self-displacement, examining modes of aesthetic defiance and resistance under the current political climate.

UNDOC+Collective invites undoc+ (formerly or currently undocumented) creatives to join us for a gathering retreat. To imagine what becomes possible when we gather not around scarcity, productivity, or crisis, but around care, kinship, creativity, and collective liberation grounded in our ancestral knowledge.

We welcome applications from people working in the contemporary arts ecosystem whose lives are shaped by migration, displacement, and border-crossing experiences, including artists, curators, arts administrators, arts scholars, and cultural bearers, as well as undoc+ migrants, refugees, exilees, and asylum seekers.

We recognize that our community is navigating an uncertain political landscape surrounding immigration, mobility, and travel. Puerto Rico is a domestic travel destination, yet we encourage participants to carefully assess their individual circumstances and prioritize their personal safety.
