Interior Architecture & Design Lead

(Commercial Projects | Remote or Onsite)

NMD NOMADAS is opening a new position for an Interior Architecture & Design Lead specialized in large-scale commercial projects, including hotels, residential towers, amenity spaces, hospitality environments, and other complex interior programs.

We are looking for a leader who can bridge architecture and interior design with equal strength, sensitivity, and precision.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead interior architecture and design from concept through construction observation.
• Develop design concepts, material palettes, FF&E, and complete interior packages.
• Coordinate with architecture, MEP, structural, lighting, and specialty consultants.
• Guide teams producing drawings through SD, DD, CDs, and shop drawing reviews.
• Manage permitting coordination and oversee FF&E procurement.
• Communicate confidently with clients and manage multiple projects.

Requirements
• 5–10 years of experience in interior architecture or commercial interior design.
• Strong portfolio in large-scale commercial work (not single-family homes).
• Ability to integrate design and technical coordination.
• Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD; familiarity with visualization tools.
• Experience with U.S. codes and processes is preferred (training available).
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead teams.
• English required; Spanish is a plus.
• Remote or onsite flexibility.

We’re looking for someone who understands that precision is a form of design —
and that exceptional drawings are the backbone of exceptional architecture.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop detailed architectural drawings and complete plan sets for luxury single-family residences.
• Produce high-quality Construction Documents with clarity, consistency, and technical accuracy.
• Coordinate technical information with consultants (structural, MEP, landscape, lighting, etc.).
• Support project leaders across multiple phases (Schematic → DD → CDs → CA).
• Maintain drawing standards, quality control, and smooth documentation workflows.

HAMPTONS SOUTH is a space that connects, pauses, invites, and embraces.

From the project’s inception, we embraced a guiding principle: to infuse this entrance with identity and meaning. It is not merely the gateway to a building in Aventura but the statement of an experience, an architectural gesture that defines the atmosphere for those who live and pass through it.

Light is the essential material. It does not just illuminate; it builds. It filters, softens, becomes texture, and tells a story. Materials: stone, glass, and metal interact in layers of transparency and reflection, revealing a space in constant transformation.

The corridor ceases to be a passage and becomes a plaza. An indoor tree rises as a central element, an anchor point for pause and contemplation.

Our intention was not just to design a space; it was to shape a sense of belonging.

- Assist in requesting and tracking samples and pricing from suppliers.
- Assist in requesting and follow up on lead times.
- Assist in providing sketches to assist vendors in understanding design details.
- Assist in validating with the project leader that the latest design is the one being shared with vendors.
- Assist in updating schedules, ensuring the latest decisions, pricing, and lead times are recorded.

Conceptual Proposal for Hamptons South

At Hamptons South, we embraced the challenge of transforming a simple passageway into a true threshold of emotions. A space not just for transit, but for pause, for presence.

From the very beginning, we worked around a fundamental concept: to create a new sense of place. To turn the entrance of this building in Aventura into a statement. A space capable of defining the experience of those who live and visit.

Light became our essential raw material. Natural light, filtered and softened. Light as texture and narrative. Noble materials; stone, glass, metal, became layers of transparency and reflection.

The corridor stopped being a passage and became a plaza. A central piece, a tree placed indoors, invites visitors to sit and wait beneath its canopy.

More than designing a space, we cultivated a new sense of belonging. We brought the breeze of Miami inside, its tropical softness, its coastal clarity, and the understated elegance of waterfront living. In every detail, the interior speaks the language of the exterior: light tones, outdoor-inspired furniture, textures breathing the calm sophistication of life by the sea.

Hamptons South is no longer just a building. It is a place. A suspended moment between light and matter. A new spirit to dwell within.
