Running DJ Marco Polo Entertainment while also maintaining our full-time careers means long days, late nights, early mornings, and plenty of weekends where the work never really stops.

Dolly Parton wasn’t just a country music legend — she was a national treasure. ❤️

One of the first songs I can remember knowing every single word to as a kid was “9 to 5.” Her music crossed generations, but it was her kindness, generosity, humor, and heart that made her so much bigger than the songs.

So I put together a quick little tribute mashup:

🎶 Dolly Parton – “9 to 5” x T-Pain – “Bartender”

Because after working that 9 to 5, I’m pretty sure the next person somebody wants to see is the bartender. 😂🍸

Just having a little fun while paying tribute to an absolute icon whose music has been part of the soundtrack of so many of our lives.

There are many celebrities who grace us with their talent throughout the decades and across every form of art. But only a select few rise beyond fame and truly become national treasures.

Dolly Parton was one of those people.

As someone who loves all kinds of music, I’ve always appreciated what Dolly contributed to country music and to music as a whole. But her legacy was about so much more than the songs. It was her kindness, generosity, humanitarian work, and genuine desire to make life better for others that made her so special.

She gave us an incredible body of music, but she also gave so much of herself to people and communities around the world. That kind of impact goes far beyond entertainment.

A true icon. A remarkable songwriter. A beautiful spirit. And without question, a national treasure.

She will definitely be missed.

Rest in peace, Dolly Parton. 🙏🏾❤️🎶
