A wave of sadness swept across Texas music today with news of the passing of musician, songwriter and vocalist Doyle Bramhall Sr. While his name may not be a household word, anyone who has ever listened to a Stevie Ray Vaughan song has felt his impact. The loss is greater in that he had overcome many obstacles in his life to arrive at a place where he was at his happiest and healthiest. We offer our sincere condolences to his family and friends.
