Friends. You may or may not have noticed this release yesterday from Echotone. Dana Falconberry has been kind enough to let us release a couple of her live performances from the film. Follow the link below to the Echotone Blog where you can stream "Possum Song," and if you follow the email entry you can download two Dana Echotone B-Sides for your iTunes. There's also an extra track you can download if you share this with your friends, so look for that.
Next week Echotone will release a clip from the film featuring this performance of "Possum Song" from Dana. We're really excited to be able to offer these since they've brought us so much inspiration while crafting the film, and hope to release more B-Sides every couple of weeks. Her songwriting reminds me of Joni Mitchell and her voice recalls Joanna Newsom. Those references are limited, though, as Dana is her own unique force of nature. Just go to one of her shows and you’ll find an entire room full of people watching in rapt silence.
