My first digital color study! Also my first go at painting longhorns. I’ll send this sketch to my client for feedback before pulling out any paints. I’m excited to keep learning about painting digitally. I’m in love with it already!

2021 Recap: It has been such a rewarding year for me. I started my Instagram and pages this year, and I’ve loved the interaction and inspiration that has come from it. I had the privilege of delivering this painting to my client over the weekend. They recently built their beautiful home on Lake Travis to begin the next chapter of their lives, and they wanted a piece they could pass down through their family for many years. I am honored they chose me for such a special project. Naturally, I’ve titled the painting “Forever Home”.

I really enjoyed the challenge of piecing photos together to create a new perspective of the home. The goal was to capture both the neighboring bluebonnets and the stunning lake view in one composition, while still featuring the home as the primary focal point. I am so appreciative of opportunities like this to paint such meaningful art.
