Art Town - Aurora, CO Our goal - a campus with: creative spaces, retail, food, work, live, and community. We will produce 3-4 show/events in a calendar year.

The purpose of the Aurora Art Group is to lay a foundation for those who have an interest in the visual arts by creating a community of artists who want to make a living from their artwork. We will participate in group shows, workshops, education programs and making events to further our goals of creating an Arts industry in Aurora. With such a culturally diverse population and richness of visual

cultural in our city, we hope to establish an environment and platform for artists from our many cultures to thrive in. Our eventual goal is to create an Art and Invention Center where both artist and inventors can work in shared spaces and individual workspaces. Building this community of makers and artists will take time, however, we can accomplish our goals by gathering those people who will be interested in participating in making this community. The Aurora Art Group will start off by hosting art shows with the purpose of sharing the work the artists produce for sale. This celebrates the individual artist and helps them create sales as well as build their professional mailing list of clients. By building this group of artists and makers we can also take on group projects by creating objects with different disciplines. These will be called challenges and we will work on one of these each year. Through this collaborative effort, we feel this will enrich our Aurora community and ourselves. This will also build a foundation for future events in our city that currently do not exist. We also hope, as we go, to connect with the makers and inventors of Aurora, with the eventual goal of bringing art, invention, and makers together to enrich our community.

We have made the big name switchover! All of our social media - Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter - as well as our newsletter are now under the name Art Town - Aurora! Our updated website will be available soon.
